Crop PDF trims the visible area of every page in a document. You drag a box over a preview of the page and OléPDF applies the same proportions to all the pages, so wide scanner margins, printer marks or an unwanted sidebar disappear from what readers see. The whole operation happens in your browser, which is why there is no upload, no waiting for a server and no file size ceiling other than your device's memory.
It is a visual tool for practical situations: a scanned book with a dark edge, a slide deck exported with excess white space, an invoice you want to fit into a slot on a printed page, or a PDF whose margins make the text look tiny on a phone. It is not a page editor and it does not move or delete objects; it only changes the frame through which each page is displayed.
The crop is stored as a percentage of each page and mapped onto that page's own size and rotation, so a document that mixes portrait and landscape pages, or A4 and Letter, still gets a consistent result. Technically the tool sets the PDF CropBox of every page and leaves the rest of the file intact.
The preview is rendered by the PDF engine bundled with OléPDF and the new file is written by a local PDF library, both running inside your browser tab. Your document is never transmitted, not even in pieces, and no third-party script is loaded. The only files that come over the network are OléPDF's own code from its own domain. When you close the tab, nothing of your PDF remains anywhere but on your disk.
For batches, the ZIP that is produced includes a small manifest listing the input and output names and sizes, generated locally as well.

No. The pages are not converted to images. The tool only adjusts the visible box of each page, so text, fonts and vector graphics are exactly as they were.
Not in this tool: one box is applied to the whole document. For a different crop on certain pages, split the PDF, crop the parts separately and merge them back.
It is hidden from view and from printing, but it still exists inside the file. If you need the trimmed content to be unrecoverable, redact it with the anonymization tool, which rasterizes the affected pages.
